In Visual Design today, our class had a whole discussion on proper proportions of black and white in an article of clothing. It was pretty fascinating to me to see the huge amount of my classmates describe themselves as wearing black 70% or more of the time. Though I love head-to-toe black, and mixing the two basics, I’d say I’m pretty reliant on color to make an outfit pop or come together. I’m from Florida—somehow I feel like that has something to do with the mindset of always trying to tie in a bright piece, even in wintertime. How will I ever survive in the bleak, all-dark New York ensembles if I move there later in life?
