Via the great Bill Cunningham’s video blog for the NYT, linked is a video about a recent trend on the streets that has been unobserved by most: hats of all shapes and sizes. Described as accessories with “brims at least 2 inches wide” by the master himself, the hats have been seen in a gigantic range of hues, materials and paired ribbon types (grosgrain, leather, and silk, to name a few). Most inspiring, though, is the attention that Bill pays to the fact of this trend “when it is being said that nothing is going on in fashion”. He never seems to disappoint in his simple wisdom.
